Garland Wong serves as the President of the studio. Garland is an entpreneur who has started numerous companies. After selling his third company CommerceWave to publicly traded iXL, Mr. Wong co-founded Kinzan and help raise $38 million in venture capital funding. Garland has a passion for video games and decided to start his own game studio. Boanerges Studios is a result of that passion. Garland is also a technologist who was part of the team that built CyberCash, the first real time payment system on the Internet. Garland is also a limited partner and technology advisor for Menlo Ventures and Global Internet Ventures. Garland sits on the boards and advisory boards of several technology startups in the US, China, and India.
Chris Whaley serves as Executive Producer of Boanerges Studios. Chris is a 15-year veteran of the game industry, including serving as the executive producer of the highly-successful NFL GameDay franchise which went on to become a multi-million unit seller. Chris later founded Redzone Games and served as the President until it was acquired by Sony in 2001. Chris Whaley’s games have been the recipient of a variety of industry awards as diverse as “Sports Game of the Year”(NFL GameDay) to “Educational Game of the Year”(Body Illustrated).
Jesse Rapczak serves as the Chief Creative Officer. Jesse was a co-founder of Artificial Studios (creators of the Reality Engine, acquired by Epic Games in 2005, and which Boanerges' own engine is based on). Jesse led the creative team at Artifial Studios for 4 years, directing the need for many of the high-end features now contained in the product while creating tech demos for the software. Jesse is also a veteran in the film visual effects industry and has led teams in the area of CG content for feature films such as Scooby Doo 2, Exorcist: The Beginning, Catwoman, as well as many national commercial and advertising campaigns.
Anthony Whitaker serves as the Chief Technology Officer. Anthony is a technical visionary and was on the technical team that developed Quake IV. Anthony works diligently to maximize the potential of technical operations and oversees research and development to ensure that Boanerges’ titles will be leading competitors in the next generation gaming market.
